REVIEW // REVLON NEARLY NAKED FOUNDATION

Revlon isn't my favourite drugstore brand & i've never tried any of their other foundations so this is the first im trying anything that isn't high end so when I was in town doing some makeup shopping i stumbled upon this foundation called Nearly Naked  and I decided to try it out because i don't have any drug store foundation. I am a women of colour and most drugstore brands never have my shade...ever! and if they do it never fully matches me so i always stay away but surprisingly there was my colour! YAY! My skin is usually pretty well behaved (until recently when it just got out of control) so I've been mainly using my MAC F&B foundation but thats running out and i needed another light coverage foundation which isn't £21.
On the left is Cappuccino and on the right is Caramel and ones too dark and ones too light so i mix the two.

Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation (Cappuccino and Caramel) - £8.99
From the moment I tested this on my hand a few weeks ago I knew it was WAAAAAY too dark for me, so i decided that the next time i went into Town to get the next shade down which is Chestnut but they didn't have it so i went for Caramel. Nearly Naked isn't as watery as MAC's Face and Body Foundation, but they look quite similar on the skin and have a similar texture because the MAC F&B foundation also has a dewy type finish. I’d say the Nearly Naked coverage is about light/medium unless you build it up but i wouldn't recommend it because it might look oily.
this is the Caramel Foundation
All in all, Nearly Naked looks really natural on my skin, doesn't make my skin itchy, is dewy without being shiny but i have oily skin so my oiliness just comes out anyway.
I really love applying this foundation lightly all over my face using a flat top brush which i got from Amazon for around £5 for a pack of 5 and then using my concealer on any redness/blemishes. It gives flawless light coverage without looking too cakey and looks super natural.

No pump. No god damn pump GAHHHH!
Okay. this bothered me so bad, like i hate foundation which don't have pump because then too much product comes out and i think having a pump on a foundation is a nice way to control how much you put on your face. The first time i used it I found myself pouring out too much foundation and having to do this weird sort of thing trying to get it back in the bottle. So i had to pour it out slowly so i don't pour out too much and ofc i also had to mix the Caramel and Cappuccino together to get an even skin shade.

Cappuccino
the one thing i really really didn't like about this foundation is that when you touch it, it feels very clammy and has somewhat of an "oily" type texture, a little bit like the MAC F&B  foundation but after it's dried properly it feels so weightless, i can't even feel it on my skin, has an amazing light flawless coverage

I have dry/oily skin and found it didn't cling to any dry patches that i had (although I don't have that many at the moment because its summer and my skin gets super super oily especially around my t-zone) and didn't leave my skin feeling tight. I wore this foundation from 3:30 pm to about 9pm and it didn't make my face feel disgusting in anyway.

SHADE:
The shade was obviously not mine as i have to mix the two but i think if i had got the chestnut shade uld have been perfect for me.

It’s hard to tell what this foundation looks like on the skin in photographs because i haven't taken any pictures with the foundation but I a tutorial with this foundation on my YouTube channel so hopefully that will give you an even better idea!

Have you tried this foundation yet?  if so, leave your comments down below and tell me how it's worked for you
Do you also prefer a lighter coverage or are you a full coverage all the way like me??

Lemme know.
